Latent Patterns is building AI education for everyone. No HR department, no foosball tables. Just meaningful work on something that matters.

We teach AI concepts from first principles — transformers, attention, embeddings, context engineering, coding agents — so developers can build real understanding, not just surface-level familiarity. If you care about making complex ideas genuinely accessible, keep reading.

how we work

Latent Patterns is bootstrapped and run from a goat farm in regional Australia. We're a small team. Everyone ships to production. Every person's work is visible and consequential.

  • Remote-first, async by default. No standups, no status meetings. Write things down. Ship when it's ready.
  • Bootstrapped. No investors, no board, no fundraising theater. Revenue funds everything.
  • High autonomy. You own your work end-to-end. We don't micromanage and we don't do busywork.
  • Ship hourly. Small commits, continuous deployment, fast feedback loops. We safely push to production constantly.

what we look for

→ deep technical ability

You can build and debug real systems. You understand the tools you use — not just their APIs, but how they work underneath. You've built things that required real engineering judgment.

→ clear writing

We're an education company. If you can't explain something clearly in writing, you can't do the job. Good writing is good thinking — it's how we communicate, plan, teach, and ship.

→ self-direction

Small team, no managers hovering. You see what needs doing and you do it. You ask questions when you're stuck, but you don't wait to be told what to work on.

→ genuine curiosity about AI

Not "AI is hot right now" curiosity — real interest in understanding how these systems work, what they're good at, where they fail, and what's coming next. You read papers, you experiment, you form your own opinions.

open positions

We don't currently have specific open positions listed. But if you're the kind of person described above, we'd still like to hear from you. Great people are rare. We'd rather meet you now and figure out the role than miss you because we didn't have a job posting up.
